WHAT TO EXPECT AT CFC
You are welcome to join us for worship Sunday mornings at 10:00 at 570 S Maple Street in Monticello, IN. We are a non-denominational Christian Church, that believes every Word in the Bible comes from God.
What can you expect when you join us for service?
You will be greeted warmly at the door and given an overview of the building. We also have coffee and treats available before the service.
The Sanctuary is located on the second floor of the building. We celebrate communion each week. The bread and juice are available at the top of the stairs, and you can take the elements with you to your seat. Our communion is open, which means that if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we would encourage you to join us in this special meal.
Our praise team leads the worship with both contemporary Christian music, and an occasional classic hymn. Our service traditionally begins with three worship songs, followed by communion, the message, and then a closing song and a blessing. The message is 100 percent based on scripture. We also believe strongly in addressing issues of the day from the pulpit.

What is a typical service like?
While we do not stick to a rigid format, each service generally begins with prayer, some contemporary worship songs, and a traditional hymn, followed by communion, the scripture reading, and the message, followed by a closing song and prayer. We do offer communion every week, and everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior is encouraged to join us in this special meal.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. Are jeans ok? Yes! Are dress clothes welcome? Yes!
Will I be singled out and asked to stand up as a visitor?
We want you to feel welcome and loved. You will likely have several members of the congregation greet you at the door, and also in the sanctuary. But no. You will not be asked to stand up and introduce yourself during the service.
Where should I sit?
Wherever you want to. There are no reserved seats. If you feel more comfortable sitting in the back row or in the first pew, then feel free to sit there. If you would rather sit with a member of the congregation, then simply ask someone. They will welcome you to join them.
Will my children be welcome?
Absolutely! Bring your entire family. We do offer children's church, but if you would rather have your children sit with you in the sanctuary during the message, they are more than welcome to do that.
