Community Foundation Awards $10,000 To Diaper Bag Ministry At CFC
The Community Foundation of White County, upon recommendation of the Grants Committee, has approved awards for their 2024 Community Grants Round Two and that includes $10,000 in Diaper Bag Mission Support for Christ Fellowship Church.
“This is an amazing blessing,” Shari Moore, the Missions Chair at CFC said. “This will allow us to continue to provide diapers and wipes to those who are truly in need in White County.”
In less than a year, this ministry has distributed over 24,000 diapers through our various community partners, with the goal of expanding the effort in the year to come.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation of White County,” Pastor Bob Ehle said. “This gift is truly a game-changer and will be used to continue to support the mothers and families who are in need in White County. During these tough economic times, the need for this program will continue to grow.”
You can contribute to the Diaper Bag Ministry by using donation boxes at CFC, Ace Hardware, Greens and Beans, The Edge Sportsplex, and Extra Scoop. In addition, if you would like to donate diapers and wipes, or if you would like to make a financial contribution, contact Pastor Bob, Shari Moore, the CFC Mission’s Chair through Ace Hardware, or any CFC member. You can also reach us through Facebook messenger.
The Diaper Bag ministry began with funding from Christ Fellowship Church and donations from its members. It has grown to include two other grants from the Community Foundation of White County and a donation from Delta Theta Tau Sorority, the Chi Chapter. In addition, Mandy David from First Merchants Bank - Monticello hosted a diaper drive at the bank for the CFC Diaper Bag Ministry.
“We stepped out in faith and began this ministry, and God has provided the needed resources every step of the way,” Moore said. “We are humbled by the continued outpouring of support from the Community Foundation of White County, along with businesses and individuals in the area.”

Reaching The Lost in Ethiopia
We were blessed to hear a message from Adam and Allison Giles, who have been serving for several years in Ethiopia. They shared stories and testimony about how God is moving and changing lives. The Giles also brought there three young children with them to CFC. We look forward to continuing to support their ministry following their return to the United States for a short period of time.
