Everyone is welcome!

You will feel loved the minute you walk
through the door at CFC!

Christ Fellowship Church held our first service on February 12, 2012.  With Gods guidance we have been able to reach many needs and people within our community.  We very quickly grew out of our first church building.  We were blessed to be able to move to a larger facility. God's plan did not stop there though.  He then presented us with an opportunity to move into our current building at 570 S. Maple Street.

We have seen God's hand move several times since our inception.  In October of 2021 God decided to take us in a new direction with an opportunity to bring in a new Pastor.  God's miraculous ways lead us to find Pastor Bob & Reenea Ehle, who had moved to this area from Missouri. It has become clear through many pieces of an impossible puzzle coming together that God has a plan, and the Holy Spirit continues to move. We are a close-knit family with love for one another.

We are a welcoming and loving church, and you will feel our authenticity from the moment you walk in the doors.
You are welcome to join us for worship
Sunday morning at 10:00am.

YOUTH GROUP SHINES IN CHRISTMAS PARADE

The CFC Youth Group, 548, with the help of some special friends, and an amazing youth leader, had a float in Monticello's annual Lighted Christmas Parade. Congratulations to everyone who helped out, supported the effort, and of course all of those who braved the cold weather to ride on the float. Now the youth group is preparing to present their first Christmas play. It will be December 21 at 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

DIAPER BAG NEARS MILESTONE

Diaper Bag Ministry closing in on 100,000 diapers distributed
"I am truly amazed at what God is doing," Christ Fellowship Church Missions Chair Shari Moore said, as the Diaper Bag Ministry is expected to reach over 100,000 diapers distributed through partner agencies by the end of the year. The program began as a dream in February of 2024 and it just continues to grow, as the need for diapers and wipes also keeps growing. "I'm so grateful," Moore continued, "that we have had the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives through this ministry. I truly wish everyone could see the reaction of the people diapers are given to."

Statistically, one in two families struggle to afford the diapers their children need. And with the average cost to families of about $80 a month or closing in on $900 annually it's easy to see why.

In the first year alone, the Diaper Bag Ministry distributed over 35,000 diapers to our partner agencies. By the time year two is over, that number will have almost doubled; with the total nearing the 100,000 mark. "This is a very practical way to be The Hands and Feet of Jesus," CFC Pastor Bob Ehle said. "We knew there was a big need in our area, but I'm not sure anyone knew it was this big."

The ministry has served over 3,333 babies in less than two years, in the effort to keep them clean, healthy and happy. "This ministry would not be possible without a lot of help, and a lot of people and businesses stepping forward," Ehle added.

The Diaper Bag Ministry began with funding and generous contributions from CFC and its members, and its growth has only been possible thanks to numerous contributions of time, money and diapers. Major donors to the CFC Diaper Bag Ministry include:

-Community Foundation of White County
-Christ Fellowship Church
-Tri Kappa
-IU Health
-Delta Theta Tau
Union Township Trustees
The Rotary Club of Monticello
Go-Getters 4H Club
First Merchants Bank

"We believe that no child should go without the basic essentials they need for a healthy start," Moore said. "This ministry works to provide diapers to families in need, through several partner agencies."

The goal of the ministry is to help supplement the diaper and wipe needs in White and Carroll County, through partnerships with local organizations, who distribute other essential needs within our communities.

"We are not a diaper pantry, "Ehle said. "We, thanks to the generosity of the community, supply the diapers and wipes to organizations and agencies, that already have the framework in place to help people in need. They distribute the diapers and wipes"

The diapers and wipes are currently available at:

-WIC in White and Carrol County
-Department of Child Services (DCS) of White County and Carroll County
-White County Food Pantry
-Carroll County Food Pantry in Flora
-Project Sprout at the Monticello Fire Department
-Birthright in Delphi
-Tri County Food Pantry in Remington
-Monon Food Pantry
-Family Health Clinic Mobile Pantry in Delphi and Monon
-Family Health Clinic in Monon
-Family Health Clinic in Wolcott

As the ministry continues to grow and as the need for diapers and wipes also grows, so is need for additional resources. "Realistically," Ehle said, "this ministry by itself could easily have an annual budget of $15-20,000. We need the continued support of the community to help us meet the very practical needs these families have."

WHAT CAN PEOPLE DO TO HELP?
1. Pray for the ministry but more importantly for the families that are struggling

2. Mail a contribution to: Christ Fellowship Church
                                           Diaper bag Ministry
                                           570 Maple Street
                                           Monticello, IN  47960

3. Bring a donation at any of the drop box locations:
-Ace Hardware in Monticello
-Greens and Beans in Monticello
-The Edge Sportsplex in Monticello
-An Extra Scoop in Monticello

4. Contact any CFC member if you know of a group or organization that would like to have a presentation on the Diaper Bag Ministry

5. Spread the word about the ministry and the need for diapers and wipes to help those who are in need.

"This program has been such a blessing to so many families," Moore said. "For it to be sustainable at this level, or to continue to grow, as we know it needs to, additional help is needed." You too can help those in need by supporting this ministry.

The bottom line is a simple one: Thanks to God's provision, the vision of a grandmother, who recognized the need to stand in the gap for those who are struggling, and the generous support of the community, many babies are clean, healthy and happy, who may not have been, without the CFC Diaper Bag Ministry.
