50,000 DIAPERS DISTRIBUTED

The Diaper Bag Ministry, which began just over a year ago, through the vision of the Missions Team at Christ Fellowship Church of Monticello, has now distributed well over 50,000 diapers to our community partners. And this much needed ministry continues to grow.

“We have seen God’s Hands all over this effort from day one,” Missions Chair Shari Moore said. “God has blessed this ministry and blessed us in so many ways through it. And the support we continue to receive from the communities it serves is amazing!”

The goal of the ministry is to alleviate the diaper need in our community so all babies have the chance to be healthy, happy and safe.

“There is an ever-increasing need in this area for diapers and wipes,” CFC Pastor Bob Ehle said. “We simply stepped out in obedience to God’s call to help out. And He has shown up, through many people and organizations in the community, to provide the resources to help this ministry continue to grow.”

The mission of the Diaper Bag Ministry is to compliment social service agencies. Diapers and wipes are provided to:

-All White County food pantries
-The nurses clinics of Monon and Wolcott
-WIC in White and Carroll Counties
-Flora Food Pantry
-Project Sprout
-White County Department of Child Services
-Mobile Nurses Clinic Pantry in Monon

All last year, which was the first year of the ministry, over 35,000 diapers were distributed. In just over three months this year, the number is already over 15,000.

The need for the diapers and wipes is increasing and the need for additional support is also growing.

A huge thanks goes out to our financial partners: CFC, Community Foundation of White County, Tri Kappa, Delta Theta Tau, Rotary, IU Health, Walmart, Greens and Beans customers, Ace Hardware customers, and Extra Scoop customers.

Donations of diapers and wipes have been by First Merchants Bank, Goal Getters 4H Club, CFC, and numerous individuals.

Labor to bundle diapers has also been donated by the Christ Fellowship Church Mission team members, a member of Tri Kappa, Goal Getter 4H club and a nurse who supports our mission.

If you would like to support the ministry, either through a financial donation or a donation of diapers and/or wipes, you can can simply:

-pray for the ministry and those who are receiving the resources
-reach out to any CFC member or message us through Facebook messenger
-contact Pastor Bob ([email protected])
-leave a financial donation at containers at Ace Hardware, Greens and Beans or Extra Scoops
-mail a check to:

If you know of a group that would like to have a presentation about the Diaper Bag Ministry, please let us know. We would be pleased to provide a speaker.

“It has been an incredible year plus,” Shari Moore added. “We can’t wait to see what God has planned for the ministry next.”

WHAT AN AMAZING FIRST YEAR!

As of the first of the year, the CFC Diaper Bag Ministry is just under a year old. And what a first year it has turned out to be. With God at the helm, this ministry has already distributed over 35,000 diapers through our various community partners! The Diaper Bag Ministry began with funding from Christ Fellowship Church and donations from its members. It has grown to include the two grants from the Community Foundation of White County, a donation from Delta Theta Tau Sorority, the Chi Chapter, one from the Tri Kappa Sorority along with a diaper drive at First Merchants Bank - Monticello.

You, along with your business or organization are also invited to join us in this ongoing effort to serve those in need of these valuable resources in White and also in Carroll Counties. You can contribute to the Diaper Bag Ministry by using donation boxes at CFC, Ace Hardware, Greens and Beans, The Edge Sportsplex, and Extra Scoop. In addition, if you would like to donate diapers and wipes, or if you would like to make a financial contribution, contact Pastor Bob, Shari Moore, the CFC Mission’s Chair through Ace Hardware in Monticello, or any CFC member. You can also reach us through Facebook messenger.

The needs for diapers and wipes is continuing to grow, and as we move through 2025, with God's guidance, and continued support from the communities, the prayer is that we will be able to expand this valuable ministry, and support even more babies and their families.

50 YEARS!

On December 28, 2024, Jerry and Pam Dexter reached a milestone. This amazing couple celebrated 50 years of marriage. The following day, with their CFC family serving as witnesses, they renewed their vows at the church. Congratulations to Jerry and Pam, and our prayer is that you continue to enjoy many more years together, with God at the center of your relationship.

There is another CFC couple that will reach this milestone over the upcoming summer, Gary and Connie Rice.

Youth Event A Success!!

A huge thanks to everyone who made the first Play To Win Youth Event such an amazing success at Christ Fellowship Church. The day included music, testimony, scripture, food, and a challenge to share the gospel.

A special thanks to CFC Youth Leader Torie Eddy, who stepped out in faith and organized the day, as well as to Schonda Gritten, who walked alongside Torie in this effort, and Pastor Joseph Bein, who led worship. To the musicians and the countless volunteers, we extend our heartfelt gratitude.

Most of all, we are grateful to the young people from the community who attended; we pray that you were blessed. God was honored, and lives were impacted for Jesus Christ!

We are looking forward to organizing more events like this in the near future. Stay tuned!

Block Party A Huge Success

The First CFC Block Party was an extremely successful event, with free food, bounce houses, a dunk tank, along with music and prizes. People from all over the community gathered at the CFC parking lot for the event. Pastor Bob Ehle said, "It was great to see so many people come by, including a lot of young children." Plans are already in the works to make next year's event even bigger, and better. "We were so pleased to be able to offer this to the community, and to provide the food, fun, and most of all, to show the love of Jesus," Ehle said.
