WOMEN'S RETREAT SCHEDULED/COMMUNITY SERVICE BEING PLANNED/NEWSLETTER COMING
 
This is an exciting time at Christ Fellowship Church. We recently had a baptism and had the largest crowd we have had in several years, during the Easter service.

We would ask that you continue to pray for the 16-year-old who was baptized. Following a baptism, satan tends to prey even harder than normal.

In looking forward, a number of exciting events are being planned. The annual women's retreat has officially been scheduled for November 11-12, 2023 at the Lighthouse Lodge in Monticello. This will run from 9am that Saturday until 1pm the following day.

More information on the retreat will be coming out soon. It will initially be opened up to women who attend CFC, and then to the community. Four speakers from outside of this area, along with music, fellowship and good food will make this a time that will draw the participants closer to God.

The theme for the retreat will be based on Psalm 34:18-19.
We are in the process of planning a community worship service that will take place at Cosgray Christmas Trees. They have a beautiful amphitheater area that will make a beautiful setting for the service.

At this point we are looking at late summer or early Fall for the service, and will likely have it on a Saturday, mid afternoon. More information will be coming when we officially set the date.

Plans are also moving forward to print a bi-monthly newsletter. The hope is to have the first one available at the beginning of June. These will be distributed at church, and if you would like a copy emailed, we will be happy to do that. As time gets closer, we will ask you to contact us with your email address.

The newsletter will contain a message from the pastor, a column from a department head, along with a member spotlight, upcoming events, birthdays and anniversaries, along with some trivia, and a word find.

We are also continuing to search for a part-time youth leader at CFC. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please have them contact Pastor Bob or one of the church elders. We would prefer a couple, but that is not a requirement.
